Duplicate and Recurring Issue Detection
Planned
The system should identify potential duplicate or recurring tickets by analyzing similarities in ticket subject, description, category, affected service/device, location, user, and/or timeframe. When a potential match or pattern is detected, the system should flag it for the technician and provide links to related tickets. The functionality should also help identify repeated issues across multiple users or locations that may indicate a broader underlying problem.
Use Case
A technician receives several tickets reporting similar connectivity issues at the same school within a short period. The system identifies the tickets as potentially related, alerts the technician to the pattern, and allows the tickets to be reviewed together. This helps prevent duplicate troubleshooting, improves communication, and supports escalation of recurring issues into problem management for root-cause resolution.
